Stafford Henderson Byers has worked with the Northeastern Conference of SDA as a pastor for almost four decades. In caring for the congregation, Stafford Henderson Byers is responsible for preparing sermons, visiting parishioners, and counseling.
Alongside the role, he has experience in several other areas. For example, he served as the managing attorney of Harlem Legal Services for a year and a half. While there, Mr. Byers supervised a team of social workers and attorneys, as well as assisting people of limited financial means across Harlem and Upper Manhattan.
Working with his clients, he represented them in several courts, including family and housing. Outside the courtroom, Stafford Henderson Byers continually looked to network with other community-focused organizations.
An Oakwood University alumnus, he has a bachelor of arts in religion alongside a juris doctor from Yeshiva University. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, which he earned magna cum laude, Mr. Byers was vice-president of both the United Student Movement and International Student Movement.
He earned his master of business administration in business from Dowling College.
