An accomplished senior administrator in the homebuilding and property development fields, Stephen F. Been holds a bachelor of business administration with a focus in finance from the University of Georgia in Athens. He went on to establish himself as a leader in the real estate development and construction industries, serving five years as the chief executive officer of Legacy Communities, which is one of the biggest private homebuilding organizations in the American Southwest. While engaged with Legacy, Stephen F. Been earned the 2009 “Builder of the Year" award from the industry authority Professional Builder Magazine.

Stephen "Steve" Been has served as the chief executive officer of Waterford Green Investments since 2014. Under his direction, Waterford Green has completed property development projects in multiple southeastern states through subsidiaries, including markets in Jacksonsville, Florida, Raleigh, North Carolina, Brunswick and St. Simons, Georgia . He currently has over 3,000 lots in development in the Northeast Florida region.
