An accomplished business leader in the field of food processing, Stephen Singleteary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro and a Juris Doctor (JD) Law Degree from Chicago's DePaul University School of Law. In the early days of his career, he served as an accountant with the offices of the Ford Motor Company in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as the offices of Continental Bank in Chicago. Stephen Singleteary went on to facilitate commercial transactions as an attorney for Continental Bank.

Stephen Singleteary established himself in the food processing industry in the mid-1990s as the founder and president of Diversity Food Processing. A chief supplier of hamburger patties to the Burger King chain, Diversity was recognized as one of the largest African American-owned businesses in the United States according to Black Enterprise.

Mr. Singleteary currently serves as president and principal of Legacy Food Solutions. In this position, he oversees all company production contracts, consumer relations, and development activity.
