A resident of Riverside, CA, Steve Carroll has instructed students at La Sierra High School for nearly 15 years. Before settling in Riverside, he worked for a range of postsecondary academic institutions in CA, CO, KS, and TX. He also taught at the college level with the University of Nevada, Reno. He holds active membership in multiple professional organizations including the National Education Association and the Alvord Education Association.
In addition to his work in the classroom Mr. Carroll is an accomplished youth athletics coach who has led a number of teams to championships and top rankings. His accomplishments at La Sierra included assistant coaching a varsity state division-5 semi-finalist football team and head coaching a league and district championship track team.
He has a history of achievement as a school athlete in his own right. While working toward his bachelor of arts in physical education from the University of Kansas, he played varsity football for three years. In high school, he lettered in three sports, each for three years.
