The recipient of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, Steve Verschoor began his career as a production and quality assurance engineer at Applied Materials, Inc. He ultimately spent 18 years with the company, during which time he worked in various capacities across several markets, including Dallas; Boise, Idaho; and Santa Clara, California. In his most recent role at Applied Materials, Steve Verschoor served as director of North America Regional Account Sales, a Vancouver, Washington-based position in which he increased product market share by 13 percent over a two-year period.
Steve Verschoor subsequently spent two years as vice president at Macquarie Investment Bank in Sydney, Australia. Today, he heads sales at GTSP Global, Inc., a solar-power manufacturing facility that he co-founded in 2008. Since forming the company, he has secured several solar and polysilicon business contracts across Asia, Europe, and the United States. In doing so, he has grown the company to achieve top-line revenues in excess of $100 million per year.
In an effort to remain abreast of the latest industry trends and practices, Mr. Verschoor regularly attends solar power and photovoltaic conferences worldwide. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is a member of the Boise State Athletic Association and volunteers at various food banks in Boise.
