A longtime managing director with FTSE International Limited in London, Sudir Raju oversaw the establishment of an exchange traded business and worked to create a robust buy- and sell-side client base spanning the globe. Sudir Raju and his team successfully grew the company’s asset base from $450 billion to $600 billion through business development activities centered on the FTSE Russell index. A particular focus was on developing a derivatives market for the indices spanning options and futures.
As reported in Seeking Alpha, Mr. Raju was instrumental in launching a host of new exchange-traded products (ETP) in 2013. Through the addition of five new instruments, the total number of equity short and leveraged ETP increased to 17. This move reflected a trend of increasing demand for global S&L ETP assets, which approached $50 billion at the time of the expansion. Prominent among these was the issuer breaking new ground through its listing of FTSE 250 savings and loan ETPs.
Mr. Raju holds an MBA from the University of Bridgeport, which he earned with an emphasis on information technology.
