A certified principal and school counselor, Sue Starr most recently served 5 years as either an assistant or lead principal with Oklahoma City Public Schools. She previously worked for 12 years in counseling with various Dallas/Fort Worth-area schools, including Rolling Hills Elementary and Lancaster Junior High. A year after accepting her position with Lancaster Junior High, Sue Starr accepted a promotion to lead counselor. Her counseling work stressed the importance of personal graduation plan development for all students, and ensuring that at-risk students receive the targeted support that they need to succeed.
Over the course of her career in education, Ms. Star has demonstrated a consistent commitment to campus involvement, sitting on a range of committees and serving as a community outreach leader, a staff development presenter, a campus testing coordinator, a master schedule builder, and a professional learning community facilitator. She currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth suburb of Rockwall, Texas.
