A retired business leader in Washington, D.C., Thaddeus Lindner founded Colonial Parking and, as its chairman and CEO, helped establish it as one of the largest privately owned family parking enterprises in the US. He achieved this by finding properties and negotiating agreements with owners, all while maintaining a reputation as a man of integrity. Thaddeus Lindner also served as president of Washington Boat Lines, which he developed into a successful wharf development after purchasing non-boat assets from Wilson Boat Line in 1978.
Mr. Lindner enjoys playing and watching golf in his retirement. He played the sport at the collegiate level while attending George Washington University (GWU), and was captain of the school’s varsity golf team during his senior year. He earned a bachelor's degree in foreign affairs from the school, and was inducted into the GWU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1973.
He has maintained affiliation with GWU throughout his career. He previously served as chairman of the school's committee on university trusteeship, and was given an honorary doctorate degree in 1994. Moreover, he has presented educational opportunities to multiple GWU students through the Thaddeus A. and Mary Jean Lindner Scholarship Fund.
