Thomas Jake Sawyer has a background teaching the Bible and coaching sports such as football and basketball. Attending Arkansas Tech University, he studied history and established a campus Champions in Christ organization. As captain of the football team, Thomas Jake Sawyer achieved recognition as All Gulf South Conference Tight End.
Mr. Sawyer’s experience includes positions with Houston’s Northland Christian School in the early 2000s as P.E. coach and Bible teacher. Launching the school’s football program in 2001, he served as defensive coordinator and enabled the team to achieve a spot in the 2006 state championships.
He subsequently held a variety of roles at Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land, Texas, including high school track and football coach. He served in an appointed position guiding a state missions trip to Houston, with the theme of Attack Poverty. Among his accomplishments was founding the non-profit Eagle Strong Ministries, which offered assistance spanning the spiritual, financial, mental, and physical aspects of wellbeing.
