An experienced Illinois oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Thomas Ocheltree holds a bachelor of arts in biology from Augustana College in Rock Island and a doctor of dental medicine from Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Dental Medicine. He subsequently became a lieutenant in the Dental Corps of the United States Navy, performing surgery and providing general oral health care to new Navy and Marine Corp recruits in advance of further training or deployment. Over his three years of military service, Dr. Thomas Ocheltree earned two Navy Marine Corp Achievement Medals.
After leaving the Navy in 2002, Dr. Ocheltree completed residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Christiana Health Systems in Newark, Delaware. Following completion of his specialty training, Dr. Ocheltree joined a private practice in Bloomington, Illinois. His ongoing duties with Doran, Capodice, Efaw, and Ocheltree revolve around providing comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical services to patients throughout Central Illinois. Since 2018, he has concurrently served as an adjunct faculty member with his Alma mater, where he supervises the oral surgery work of dental students.
