After receiving her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and her master's in public communication from American University, Tiffanee Saunders earned a master's in education with a focus on special and inclusive education from the University of San Diego. After completing her master’s, Tiffanee Saunders gave a presentation titled, “Teacher-Led Professional Development: Using DSE and UDL to Advocate for the Rights of Inclusion” at the annual conference for the Midwest Summer Institute/Disability Studies in Education.
She launched her career in education as a classroom teacher at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic School and a reading and math tutor for Prince Georges County Schools. Throughout the following years, she taught at institutions such as Merritt Academy, St. Louis Catholic School, and Glen Forest Elementary School, focusing on special education as her career progressed.
Recently, Tiffanee Saunders became a special education teacher at the Foundation School, a private school in Maryland. There, she assists in educating students with autism.
