As assistant director of education services at Southern California’s Baldwin Park Unified School District for nearly a decade, Timothy Kovacs has led a team of program and health managers as well as a compliance supervisor in the field of early-childhood education. Timothy Kovacs ensures that operations run seamlessly. Areas of responsibility include nutrition and mental and physical health, as well as enrollment.
Mr. Kovacs also guides the Clinical Trainee Program in coordination with local institutions such as Azusa Pacific University, overseeing trainees who are working to complete professional clinical hours. He also excels at community assessments and grant-writing and works to collaboratively manage the operational budget.
Previously serving as program manager of the district’s Head Start, Mr. Kovacs assessed children age 3-5 and ensured that their needs were fully met. He coordinated staff members in providing social-service support to families in the local community. Timothy Kovacs earned his master’s degree in clinical psychology in 2005 at California State University, Fullerton, and also achieved licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).
