Holding a master of arts from the University of Illinois School of Architecture, Tom Marshall has been designing buildings in Memphis since 1986. Tom Marshall followed in the footsteps of his father, Oscar Thomas “O.T.” Marshall III, who founded O.T. Marshall Architects in 1957.

In his role as principal architect, he manages complex and challenging projects, working with consultants from a variety of disciplines. He is responsible for designing and redeveloping a number of Memphis landmarks, including the Memphis Fairgrounds and the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid. He was also the lead architect for the Memphis City Schools' 5 Year Master Plan, which helped to reinstate community schools and better utilize existing infrastructure, saving the city $51 million over four years.

Mr. Marshall is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and an accredited professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. He also holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
