Under the leadership of founder and CEO André V. Chapman, nonprofit organization Unity Care serves foster and at-risk young people across northern California with an emphasis on building strong families and communities. As part of this mission, Unity Care works closely with individuals to assist them in creating personal and achievable goals.
For more than two decades, Unity Care has provided a diverse range of educational and mental health services to young people and their families. These services include one-on-one counseling for children with emotional or behavioral issues, an outpatient mental health clinic, and the Imani Village School Linked Services program that promotes academic success among children with African heritage.
Throughout the year, Unity Care hosts a variety of fundraising opportunities to support its services. The organization also relies on numerous volunteers who give their talents and time to help countless foster children and families. Young people under 18 may also volunteer alongside a parent or guardians.
