Drawing on more than two decades of experience, William Burns is a financial management professional who serves as the chief financial officer and executive vice president with Cross Country Healthcare. Since joining the organization in 2014, William Burns has been responsible for partnering with business leaders to help ensure that the company’s strategies are implemented and drive shareholder value.

In his position, Mr. Burns is responsible for overseeing a variety of tasks, such as investor relations, business development, accounting, procurement and more. His outstanding efforts earned him the 2016 CFO Turn-Around Achievement for the Year award, given to him by the South Florida Business Journal.

Mr. Burns is also a member of several professional organizations and holds a certified public accountant license from the state of NY, . He regularly attends a variety of industry conferences and events, such as those hosted by FiCFO, as well as the SIA Executive Conference. In addition, he has served as a spokesperson for his firm at industry-related conferences with the investment community. Outside of his career, William Burns enjoys a number of different hobbies, such as golf and tennis.
