A firefighter with the Quincy Fire Department for more than 15 years, William Mcgoff has earned professional accolades including a letter of commendation for going above and beyond duty. Before beginning his firefighting career, William “Bill” McGoff spent seven years as a journeyman with Broadway Electric in Boston, which he prepared for by completing a journeyman electrical program and a 30-hour safety course with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Mr. McGoff maintains membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts. A former member of the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, he achieved the rank of corporal E-4.

An active member of the American Legion post #294, Mr. Mcgoff has supported various charitable organizations over the course of his career. In his role with the Quincy Fire Department, he has volunteered with the Salvation Army during the holidays and participated in events for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, as well as local food and fundraising drives.
