A student at Louisiana State University, Zachary Castillo is pursuing a bachelor of science in environmental engineering. Since beginning his studies in 2017, Zachary Castillo has received several honors, including making the Dean’s List.
He is also a recipient of the LSU Tiger Excellence Award. Alongside his academic activities, Mr. Castillo is a member of the university’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.
Aside from school he is a member of the Lion’s Club, where he is involved in projects that help those in need. For example, Mr. Castillo was part of a project that donated glasses to people who couldn’t afford them.
Outside of university, he is a referee with the Louisiana Soccer Association, a position he began in 2014. As a referee, Zachary Castillo is responsible for inspecting sports equipment to ensure that teams are complying with regulations while also officiating children’s and adult’s games.
To perform the position effectively, he communicates continually with players, coaches, and fans, along with other referees.
